November 2017 - Movember Cycle - RAG Naked Calendar
Our girls have been busy this November, as well as smashing their training sessions and getting unreal uni grades. They have spent their spare time raising money for charity. Our president (Mariam Ogunwale), VP (Lauren Denning) & Dance Coach (Danielle Morgan) woke up at the crack of dawn and joined 24 other teams in the AU for a 24 hour cycle. This was order to raise awareness and change the face of mens health. Many of our girls have also taken part in the yearly naked RAG calendar so keep a look out for the photos!!!

Machu Picchu - September 2017
Two of our amazing girls took on one of the 7 wonders of the world in early September - the incredible site of Machu Picchu. Ella Page (Kit Sec) and Harriet Yorke (Social Sec) both worked with the UK based charity 'The Children's Society' to raise £3000 each for disadvantaged and vulnerable children in the U.K. Here, they explain their trip:
Working for such close to home charity made us evermore motivated with a sense of purpose to reach our target and complete our challenge. Whilst raising the money and reaching our target was one of the most rewarding feelings ever, the sense of achievement we felt as we reached the final step and saw the 600 year old royal Inca site after a 5 day trek was indescribable. We trekked the Salakantay trail for 5 days straight, trekking from 2 degrees to 27 within 24 hours and enduring every kind of climate from desert, to Jungle, to ice glaciers. Our highest altitude was that of 4630m (that's almost 4 times the height of the highest point in the U.K.!!) and our longest day was a full 9 hours trekking. No picture and no words can quite describe the views that we saw and the terrain that we walked. When all 9 girls sat down in our communal tent each evening it was an unforgettable feeling and friends made for life. The blisters, altitude sickness, sweat and cold was forgotten and not moaned about. We cannot wait to set ourselves another challenge / tick another wonder off the list and we couldn't recommend it more for anyone fancying a physical and mental challenge with a massive reward. We were lucky enough to stay in a desert Oasis and sand dune our lives away. We even taught girls how to prep in the dunes and created our very own pyramid!! #vixenworldtakeover
We couldn't be prouder of our girls and hope they are inspirations to anyone who is looking at taking on any challenge to raise money for the community.

Great South Run 28th October 2012
The Vixens were proud to go and cheer on the participants of the Portsmouth 'Great South Run' today. Even though the weather wasn't bright and sunny, the girls did what they do best and supported all of the runners along the way by cheering them on and putting up some stunts along the route. We were proud to cheer on for 'Clic Sargent', a charity who raise money for children and young people with cancer, as well as 'Bupa' who were the main coordinaters of the event. A massive congratulations to everyone taking part for their chosen charities!

Harefield Primary School
April-May 2011
For 6 weeks, 2 dedicated Vixens went to Harefield Primary School to introduce them to cheerleading. The primary school children (girls and boys), were taught cheers, jumps and dance routines. After all their hard work, a whole routine was put together which they performed at our Showday on campus, where we also performed our routines. We had a big audience full of our friends and family along with theirs. This was a great experience for both the Vixen volunteers and the children, along with a great deal of fun!
ICAP
December 2010
The Vixens supported ICAP, a stockbroking company, on a charity the held in their offices around the world. We cheered them on throughout the day on the broking floors and in the entrance, helping them out and showing our stunts outside the office entrance. During the day, any commission made through the company's deals was donated to charity. ICAP raised £12 million pounds that day in the carious parts of the world that they are based so we were really happy to be there and support them on such an important day. We also had some surprise celebrity visits from Prince Charles and Prince Williams who even made some deals on behalf of the brokers!

Sunday 25th April 2010
This was the 30th London Marathon since its beginning and after an epic hunt around London the Vixens finally found their spots where they were cheering! We supported both the NSPCC runners and the Cancer Research runners. The weather turned out to be sunny and hot and everyone had an amazing time, cheering, stunting and eating ice lollies as we supported all the runners. An added bonus to the day was seeing Calvin from Hollyoaks and he even gave the Vixens a wave! Thank you to all those that came, it was a great day and we cant wait until next year!
